Titanium Dioxide

Titanium dioxide (chemical name: titanium dioxide, TiO₂) is an excellent white inorganic pigment, renowned for its high whiteness, strong covering power, outstanding chemical stability and weather resistance. Its main component is titanium dioxide, with a purity of over 98%. It is divided into two crystal forms: rutile type and anatase type. The former has better weather resistance, while the latter has a higher whiteness. Titanium dioxide is produced from titanium ores (such as rutile and ilmenite) through the sulfuric acid process or the chlorination process. The sulfuric acid method has a low cost but faces significant environmental pressure. The chlorination method, on the other hand, has a high technical threshold, causes less pollution, and offers higher product purity. It is the mainstream development direction.
Application field:
1. Coatings industry: Wall paint, automotive paint, etc., providing covering power and weather resistance;
2. Plastics and papermaking: As a brightener and filler, it enhances the luster and strength of the product;
3. Ink and Cosmetics: Endowing color stability and safety;
4. High-end fields: Such as ceramics, medicine, electronic components, etc.
Core advantage:
1. High covering power: Efficient coverage can be achieved with a unit usage, reducing costs.
2. Weather resistance and anti-yellowing: Adapt to harsh environments such as ultraviolet rays and damp heat, and extend the material's lifespan;
3. Safe and environmentally friendly: Non-toxic and harmless, in compliance with international standards such as RoHS;
4. Versatility: It can be adapted to the demands of different industries through surface treatment.
Titanium dioxide, with its comprehensive performance, has become an indispensable key material in modern industry, continuously promoting product upgrading and green transformation in various industries.
